The data controller
SENTIENT BIT SRL, Brașov, Romania. Contact for any question about your data: [email protected].
What we collect
The account. Your e-mail address, the display name if you fill it in, and the password, stored only as a hash, needed to give you access to the service, plus the account’s creation date and the state of the licence. Basis: performance of the contract.
The payment. Payment is processed by Stripe. We neither receive nor store your card details - the processor takes them directly. We receive the payment confirmation - amount, date, transaction identifier - and the billing details you enter in your account: name, address, and for companies the tax identification. The invoice is issued through the Oblio invoicing service, which receives the billing details and the amount. Basis: performance of the contract and the legal invoicing obligations.
Your project. The location, the roof and system configuration, the consumption and the results stay in your browser, from where you can export them as a file and delete them at any time. When you run an estimate, the calculation inputs - coordinates, orientation, power, horizon - are sent to our server only to be computed; we do not save them to your account and do not tie them to you.
Map search. When you search for an address, the text you type is sent to the OpenStreetMap geocoding service to be turned into coordinates, and the maps come from OpenStreetMap too. Do not type into that field information you do not want sent outside the service.
Newsletter. If you subscribe, we keep your e-mail address until you unsubscribe. Basis: consent, withdrawable with one click in any e-mail.
The contact form. Your name, e-mail address and message, used to answer you. Basis: our legitimate interest in answering a request.
Technical logs. The server records requests, including the IP address, for operation and security - for instance limiting abuse of the contact form and of sign-in. Logs rotate automatically and are kept no longer than 30 days. Basis: legitimate interest.
Usage statistics. Only if you accept in the bar at the bottom of the site, we load Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are used and how. Until then nothing loads from Google and no statistics cookie is set. Your choice stays in your browser and you can change it at any time from the “Cookies” link in the footer. IP addresses are anonymised. Basis: consent. The data goes to Google, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Cookies
We use necessary cookies: the sign-in session, a cookie of our own server, the theme, the language and the chosen mode, Simple or Detailed; these need no consent. Google Analytics’ statistics cookies are set only after you accept. We use no marketing cookies.
What we do NOT do
We do not sell data. We use no advertising tracking and set no marketing cookies. The only third-party statistics service is the one above, and only with your consent.
We do not collect the measured output of your installation. If we ever offer a Home Assistant integration that sends such data, it will be optional, off by default, with a stated purpose, withdrawable, and withdrawal will mean deletion.
Who we pass data to
Only to the providers that make the service work, each receiving what it needs:
- Stripe - payments and subscriptions.
- Oblio - issuing invoices.
- OpenStreetMap - address search and maps.
- Google - statistics, only with your consent.
- the e-mail service provider - delivering the verification, password reset, invoice, contact and newsletter messages.
The account, sign-in and the calculation engine run on our own server, not at a third party. Transfers outside the EU take place under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Account data, for the life of the account; when the account is deleted we remove it within 30 days. Payment and invoicing documents, for as long as tax and accounting obligations require. Newsletter, until you unsubscribe. Contact messages, at most 12 months after the answer. Technical logs, at most 30 days.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Write to us at the address above, from the account’s e-mail address; we answer within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with ANSPDCP, the Romanian supervisory authority.
Deleting the account
You can ask for the account to be deleted by writing to us from the account’s e-mail address. We delete the account and the associated data within 30 days, except the payment documents the law obliges us to keep. The projects in your browser never reach us, so you delete those yourself, in the browser.
Changes
If we change what we collect or why, we update this page and the date at the top.
